I'm a rockstar

Yeah, check the bib. I'm a rockstar.

Worry

As much as I have worried about Madison in just the short time that I have been a Mom, I can't even fathom how much more worrying I will do over my lifetime. She coughs, I worry. She cries, I worry. She has an unexplained red mark on her head, I worry.

People say that you worry less with the second baby. I think I want to have another one just so I will stop being so crazy.

Thank goodness for Scott is all I can say. He is the calm in my worry storms. So when I start theorizing about how her head might fall off because of the tiny little red spots on her head (which is just a birthmark by the way), he replies, "You aren't crazy, you are just a great Mommy."

Auntie NuNu's Birthday

We went to The Melting Pot last night to celebrate Auntie NuNu and her sister Shannan's birthdays. Since it was such a special occasion Madison wanted to look her best.

She was so good at dinner. She just sat in her car seat and looked around. There was a lot to check out in that place. She got a little fussy toward the end but it was close to her bedtime so we expected it. Grampy, Grammie, and Daddy took turns walking her around while Mommy got to finish eating (we had a wardrobe change during dinner, the spit up just didn't go well with the fancy dress!) And that is Shannan in between Kevin and Nuance, she just didn't want her picture taken. =)

Went back to the doctor today. 4th visit in 7 weeks! She is still coughing, but this time the doctor said ears are clear and so are her lungs, so we think it might be a symptom of her acid reflux. Will keep an eye on her in the next few days and see what happens. While we were at the doctor she found out that the paper on the table makes lots of noise!!! She LOVED it and therefore tried to eat it! I had to pry it out of her hands and mouth. Silly girl!

Exersaucer

Daddy decided that Madison needed an exersaucer. They have one at her daycare and she LOVES it! So we got one of her own today. Her eyes lit up when she saw it and immediately tried to put everything on there in her mouth!

Yummy!

She loves her cereal. I couldn't shovel it in fast enough for her tonight.

Gulp!

Dinner was yummy!

Feet

Madison has found out that she has feet and loves to play with them. When I picked her up from daycare yesterday her teacher said that she had to take her socks off because she kept eating them. She wasn't kidding, when I got home and unpacked her bag, her little socks were soaking wet. Yummy!

When we got home Madison played with her butterflies while Mommy opened the mail. She thinks the sound of opening envelopes is funny and would chuckle everytime I would open something. It was cracking me up.

Then when Daddy got home they spent some time playing with her feet.

And she has got the whole eating cereal thing down pat. Last night before I started feeding her she started smacking her lips together in anticipation. Can't wait to start fruits and veggies in a couple weeks.

An Attempt

I know I have tried this blogging thing before and never kept up with it, but I thought that it would be a neat way to share what is going on with us to my family that doesn't live close. Facebook just doesn't seem like the right medium to do that. So I am going to attempt to keep up with this and share the link to the site with my family and friends so that they can watch Madison as she grows.

This will also be pretty neat to look back at down the road and remember some of the fun stuff (and not so fun stuff) that Scott and I have gone through being new parents.

Check back for updates!
